Adding Free Games to Accounts in SAGE
You can automatically add FREE games to the accounts you create. This can be useful if you want to create accounts in bulk.
Adding games
To add games to your accounts, you will need to get the SubID of the game you want to add. You can find the SubID of the game by going to SteamDB.
Getting the SubID
- Go to SteamDB.
- Search for the game you want to add.
- Click on the game.
- Go to Packages
- Look for packages with the billing type of
Free on Demand
(No Cost
also sometimes works) - Make sure the package is not associated with any paid bundle
Example: CS2
CS2 has the AppID of 730, looking at the packages on
https://steamdb.info/app/730/subs/, we can see 3 packages with the billing type
of Free on Demand
:
- 211096: Counter-Strike 2 (Free CN)
- 303386: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Free Edition
- 329385: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
211096 is restricted to China only, so we can’t use it. 329385 is associated with the “Valve Complete Pack” bundle, so we can’t use it either. 303386 is the one we want to use.
Example: TF2
TF2 has the AppID of 440, looking at the packages on
https://steamdb.info/app/440/subs/, we can see one package with the billing type
of Free on Demand
:
- 330198: Team Fortress 2
However, this package is associated with the “Valve Complete Pack” bundle, so we can’t use it.
That means we can’t add TF2 to our accounts.
I don’t understand it either, but that’s how it is. CS2, TF2 and Dota2 are “special” and can be directly played when going to them on the Steam store, without adding them to your library first. Seems like some kind of exception.
