Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How do I get started?
See our Getting Started guide for a step-by-step guide on how to get started with the Steam Account Generator.
How do I get proxies?
You can use any proxies you have access to. We recommend using residential proxies for the best results.
We do not recommend any proxy providers and will not provide support for setting up proxies.
Troubleshooting
A84 - Ratelimited
This error means that you have been ratelimited by Steam. This can happen if you exceed the IP or domain ratelimits.
A101 - CAPTCHA Required
This error means that Steam (or Google) doesn’t trust you, your browser or your IP address (most likely the IP address).
You can try the following to solve this issue:
- use better proxies
- use a different browser (Chrome will perform better than Chromium)
- reset your browser data (go to Settings > Browser and click on the Reset button)
This error can also happen if you use a rotating proxy that changes the IP address too frequently or on every connection. SAGE does not support rotating proxies.
A105 - Banned
Your IP address has been banned by Steam from creating accounts. This is often the case for popular VPN providers in popular countries.
You can try the following to solve this issue:
- use better proxies
- use a better VPN provider
B5 - Pool is empty
Old information
This error means that the pool you are trying to use is empty.
There are separate pools for free and Premium users. The Premium pool contains more domains and is less likely to be empty.
Either upgrade to Premium, use a
custom domain, or wait for the pool to be
refilled. You can check when the pool refills by clicking on Domains
in the
Quick settings section and looking at the Next refill column.
No browser opens when I click on “Generate”
There can be multiple reasons why the browser doesn’t open when you click on “Generate”. Here are some common reasons:
No valid proxies
You might have no valid proxies, so the generation process immediately stops. You can see how many accounts you can currently generate in the Quick settings section.
Corrupted playwright installation
If you are using the chromium
browser (Settings > Browser), it needs to be
installed on your system. SAGE does this automatically for you and may take a
few minutes on the first run. You can see the progress in the terminal window.
If there is no progress bar in the terminal window, you probably interrupted the installation process and left the installation in an inconsistent state. To fix this, delete the following directory and try again:
- Windows:
%APPDATA%\ms-playwright
- Linux:
~/.cache/ms-playwright
- macOS:
~/Library/Caches/ms-playwright
”We’re sorry, but your computer or network may be sending automated queries”
This error is returned by reCAPTCHA when you try to solve too many CAPTCHAs on the same IP address or if you try to use the Voice CAPTCHA on a high-risk IP address.
There is nothing we can do about this error. Only way around it is to use a different IP address.
”Domain is invalid or no longer registered.”
If this affects a custom domain, it means that the domain is no longer registered. Please check with your domain registrar to see if the domain is still registered.
If this affects a managed domain, it means that the domain has expired. You can either purchase the domain and add it as a custom domain or use Email Vault to transfer the Accounts to a different domain.
If you cannot renew the domain, contact Steam Support to see if they can help you recover the Accounts.
